Why CFSA Sixth Form?

I am the Trust Director of Post 16, and I work closely with each of the teams across all seven of our Sixth Forms. This allows us to share ideas and collaborate to provide an even better Post 16 experience, so when you join the Sixth Form you are also part of a much wider community. This brings many benefits such as: Oxbridge preparation programme, Medicine mock interview day, Year 13 Moving On day, wider lecture series and apprenticeship and careers events. We also lead one of the largest HE+ hubs in the UK – this is a partnership between Redhill and the University of Cambridge and offers some unique opportunities to our students.

I look forward to meeting you all.

Ms Susan Sharp
Trust Director of Post 16

In 2017 Colonel Frank Seely Academy made a significant investment in the redevelopment of its Post-16 facilities, creating a new learning environment.

As part of this programme we created a study centre and office area in the school. This is a modern and exciting learning space which was designed by the students to meet their needs. It is of the quality and style found at Universities and something quite unique to a Sixth Form of our size. The centre has designated spaces for different types of study, including a library area and a new ICT suite with printing facilities.

Students also have access to a range of facilities across the site including Science labs, art rooms and Design Technology workshops.

“Staying on at CFSA Sixth Form was one of the best decisions I could have made. I was supported in choosing my A Level subjects and throughout my study, with encouragement and confidence.”

Colonel Frank Seely Academy is centred onan ambition to be the best and that appliesto students and staff. Therefore, even more important than the physical resources are thestaff who work here, all of whom are passionate about giving you the advice and support you need to achieve to your full potential. The quality of the teaching staff is the most consistent reason that students give for joining our Sixth Form.

Specialist resources and a lower than average teacher to student ratio ensure that results are good, enabling a considerable number of our students to go on to university.

You will be treated as individuals in a more adult learning environment and will be encouraged to take more personal responsibility for your own learning, development and progress.

With our positive, friendly and proactive approach to Sixth Form life, Colonel Frank Seely Academy offers the perfect springboard to work or higher education.
